Time and Talent If you would like to go beyond a financial contribution, please contact us to discuss volunteer opportunities and other meaningful ways you can contribute your time and resources. A Packaging Event is sponsored by an organization that can bring together a team (or teams) of 12 volunteers. In 45 minutes a team can package 1,500 meals. The cost for each team member is $32 ($384 per team). If you represent a school, church, or other organization that would like to host a Packaging Event, call John or Gail Kessler at (309) 762-0437. Click for more info about the packaging process. Kids Against Hunger - Your Quad Cities is a 501 (c) (3) non-profit charity recognized by the IRS. Kids Against Hunger - Your Quad Cities has no paid employees. 100% of your contributions are used for the food and packaging. Few charities offer a greater impact for each dollar spent. 10% of our meals are pledged for local food pantries.
